This visualization uses color coding to contrast the amount that is raised to combat certain disease (pink showing breast cancer, teal for prostate cancer, etc) and the number of deaths in the United States from those diseases (thus showing how breast and prostate cancers kill far less people that heart-related diseases). This graphic misses some measurements - are the deaths for a given year? On the bottom of the chart it says the data is from a 2011 CDC report, but I think more clarification is needed. A viewer can see the relative scale of circles, but how did the designer choose to make circles in the sizes they did? A scale would be useful to understand the starting point for the graphic.
