<p>The results of risk assessment in the supply and demand are presented in Fig. 4. The results also show the nexus risk among water, energy, and food, which indicates the mutual dependence between risks that these resources confront. If the water risk is evaluated in terms of the surface-water and groundwater supply in Kinmen, the main risk to water resources in the demand phase is associated with household water use in the residential sector. </p>
