Lisbon material balance

Just like a Sankey diagram, this graph displays the size of each flow by varying the width of the different blocks. It is therefore possible to quickly grasp the size of each flow, but without the cluttering that often happens in Sankey diagrams. Each block represents a type of flow that is important in UM research (inputs, addition to stock, outputs), which makes it easy to put these different flows in perspective.
